Linen closet organization with baskets
Using baskets or bins in the linen closet makes things easier to get to. Often, linen closets are deep, and it's hard to get to the items we store on the backs of shelves. When we use baskets to store like items, it's easy to just pull out the baskets and find what we need!
Using baskets for linen closet storage also means you won't have to worry about things tipping over while you're digging for a new tube of toothpaste!

Storage bins for the linen closet
We just moved into our home a few months ago, but this linen closet organizing project was one of the first tasks I wanted to tackle once we were settled in.
Our linen closet is in our bathroom, so we ended up using it to store toiletries and medicines as well as towels.
I started by using some inexpensive plastic shoeboxes from Wal-Mart to organize our different medications. {You can also find them on Amazon}
I put these up on the highest shelf in our closet since we don't need to access them too frequently.
On each storage bin, I made a simple label using our Cricut machine and sticker paper.
I tried to get fancy and make pink circle frames around each label. That was a lot of extra work!
If I had to do this project again, I'd leave the pink circle frames off.
They add some nice color, but they extra splash of pink wasn't worth all the extra time spent trying to make everything line up nicely.

Baskets for frequently accessed items
For items we access more frequently, I used some y-weave baskets from Target. {Here are some similar ones on Amazon}
I like that they are washable, and the white, uniform look makes the linen closet look brighter.
I used our Cricut machine to create these labels too.
This time, I just made them on cardstock and glued the pieces together.
Then, I found some pretty ribbon at Michael's and used it to attach the labels to the different baskets.
Down below I stored washcloths and hand towels in a separate basket.
Our linen closet is right next to our sink, so it's the perfect place to store these linens.

We also stored a few extra towels in this closet.
Most of our everyday towels are stored near our shower.
So far we're liking this linen closet organization system.
We're able to find what we need easily.
Because we use baskets and bins, we can quickly see if we're running out of certain supplies.
This has kept me from overbuying things like shampoo and soap too, because I can always do a quick check to see if we're low on toiletries. Being organized saves time and money!
