After a long wait, I finally received my Living Well Planner in the mail! I've been trying out a lot of different planners lately, but I was especially looking forward to this one because I thought it would help me as a work at home mom.
The Living Well Planner was created by Ruth Soukup, who created the blog Living Well Spending Less, and Elite Blog Academy (a course for bloggers that I've been taking and re-taking for several year – I love it!).
I pretty much love everything made by Ruth Soukup, so I thought this planner would be a good fit for me. 🙂
Living Well Planner Unboxing Video
I decided that the best way to show you what this planner is like is to make a video. Watch below to see what the Living Well Planner looks like straight out of the box:
What I Love About the Living Well Planner
- It includes everything you need to organize your life – goal setting sheets, yearly, monthly, and weekly planning pages, project planning pages, monthly budgeting sheets, gratitude reflection sheets and more.
- It's flexible – you set up the dates in the planner, so you can start it whenever you want. You can also set up your monthly calendar however you want – some people prefer a Sunday start, and some prefer a Monday start.
- As a blogger in the Elite Blog Academy course, it really ties in well with how we're taught to run our businesses. I know this doesn't apply to everyone, but to me this is a huge benefit of the Living Well Planner.
- Step-by-step instructions. When you purchase the planner, you automatically start getting emails from the Living Well Shop that walk you through how to set up your planner. The step-by-step instructions really helped me get off to a good start with the new planner.
- Online support group. Also, when you purchase your planner, you're invited to join a Facebook group filled with people who bought the same planner. It's a good resource for swapping ideas and troubleshooting different planning issues.
- It's so cute! I love the floral design on the cover.
Cons of the Living Well Planner
- It took a long time to ship. I ordered my planner during a pre-sale, and it arrived over two weeks after I expected it to be delivered. This probably won't always be the case, though. I think they just had a few hiccups with the shipment I was a part of.
- It's not customizable. Some other planners like Plum Planners or Erin Condren planners allow for more customization that you don't have to write in yourself.
- It's expensive – like many other planners on the market. {Go here to see the current price.} If you're looking for a more frugal planning solution, you could use printable planning sheets and put together your own planner.
Overall Review of the Living Well Planner
If you've been looking into the Living Well Spending Less Planner for a while now and you're on the fence, I'd say go for it!
Be sure to order it well in advance of when you'll need it because it does take a while to ship. In fact, I'd recommend really reading the fine print on the order forms and website to make sure you really understand when your planner will arrive.
But, I think the Living Planner is worth the wait. In the meantime, you can use printable planning sheets to hold you over until your new planner arrives.
