Ways to use your Instant Pot as an air fryer. Plus information on Instant Pot Air Fryer combos, and other options for air frying and pressure cooking.
Instant Pot Air Fryer
The Instant Pot is a well-known, versatile kitchen tool.
It has many uses, and can replace many of the kitchen gadgets you already have.
But did you know that there’s also a way to convert your Instant Pot into an air fryer?
There are actually a few Instant Pot and air fryer-related products out on the market, so it’s kind of confusing!
In this article, we’ll talk about the Instant Pot air fryer combo, so you can see if it would work for you.
Instant Pot Air Fryer Lid
If you already have an Instant Pot, you can purchase a special Instant Pot Air Fryer Lid to make your pressure cooker into an air fryer.
If you don’t already have an air fryer, this would be an excellent option.
Instant Pot Vortex Air Fryer
The Instant Pot Vortex air fryer is actually a 7-in-1 multi-function kitchen gadget.
You can use it to:
- air fry
While it does have the capability to air fry, it is NOT a pressure cooker.
So really do your research before purchasing this gadget. It appears to do a lot of things, but it doesn’t look like you can cook a lot of food in it at once.
Instant Pot with Air Fryer
The Instant Pot Duo Crisp is an Instant Pot Air Fryer combo that combines the functionality of a pressure cooker with the functionality of an air fryer.
If I were buying my first Instant Pot today, this is what I would get.
It’s basically an Instant Pot and an Instant Pot Air Fryer lid packaged together with some cool accessories.
Instant Pot Air Fryer Recipes
There are several cookbooks on the market that are made specifically for the Instant Pot Air Fryer combo.
But you don’t really need them.
Any air fryer recipe should work with your Instant Pot air fryer.
And any electric pressure cooker recipe should work with your Instant Pot.
If you happen to have an Instant Pot Vortex, it might be interesting to pick up one of the cookbooks specifically made for that gadget.
The Vortex has so many different functionalities, and having a cookbook custom-made for the gadget would be a nice way to learn how to use everything.
Air Fryer vs. Instant Pot
If you have to choose between getting an air fryer or getting an Instant Pot, choose the Instant Pot.
A pressure cooker will save you time and money, and it’s perfect for creating delicious one-pot meals.
If you still really want an air fryer after having an Instant Pot for a while, you could always save up for an Instant Pot air fryer attachment, or just purchase a separate air fryer.
